Prepare for a long, comfortable ride. The green route takes you into the Zihl Canal, La Thielle, across Lake Neuchâtel to Auvernier.
Auvernier can look back on a very long settlement tradition. In 1855, the remains of pile dwellings were discovered on the edge of the lake and were subsequently excavated.
Day 4: Estavayer-le-Lac
The tourist attraction of Estavayer-le-Lac is the largely intact medieval old town with the Chenaux Castle, the local history museum in the Maison de la Dîme, the so-called frog museum (Musée des grenouilles), the art gallery and the harbor on Lake Neuchâtel. In addition to various hotels, Estavayer le Lac also has a campsite and a water ski lift on the lake.
Day 5: Broye Canal, Lake Murten to Vallamand
